Brief 8 - Meeting with Pressision.

Today we went over to Pressision print just outside of Leeds to speak with Ian Cavanagh about printing the prospectus. This involved the processes they have available, their links to paper suppliers as well as projects they've previously worked on.

Big up Sophie Wilson for this image.

They have experience working with both designers and much more commercial clients.
Prospectus as a job is at the high end of their job size and usual format runs.

They offer lower cost through having automated presses, meaning that the time required to set up printing and the presses is much less.

Foiling / embossing / folding / die cutting in house.
Cheaper as not out sourced.

Open to producing further work on top of the prospectus

A3 Digital print

Testing - will need trial runs for some of the processes. Such as the proposed Foil and emboss on the cover overlapping. Not something they've done before.

270gsm cover, better in terms of binding
Possibly more economical using a clear foil as doesn't require the dyes necessary for others. Foil may need to be a double run to get the necessary strength.

Inner pages will make the bulk of the jobs cost

20,000 run.
