The homepage for Ben's website is simply a looping slideshow of some of the standout images. I've made the image as large as possible, and kept the design as neutral as necessary to allow the photographs to speak over the website itself. I went for a mid-grey for the background to give a nice contrast to text and image as well as allowing for continuity across the rest of the stationary. Projects Page
For the projects page, I went for the same base layout, with fixed word marque and navigation. I wanted to keep things as simple as possible, with large thumbnails and fixed navigation this site should be very easy to use, and should allow the quality of the photography to speak for itself. I also opted for black and white thumbnails so as not to make any one project stand out from the rest, as well as keeping visual consistency using the background colour as influence.
Various Projects
For the various projects, when selected, it is a very simple scrolling showcase of images. The photographs are the same width throughout apart from the thumbnails to make full use of the space available.
About
About page is a very simple typographic layout, providing only the necessary information.
May well ask Ben to upgrade his account with cargo to allow for more space, and for a more professional appearance.
