Brief 6 - Good News DISCONTINUED
Niall and myself have made the decision to drop the Good News brief on account of being successful in the prospectus pitch, and having the prospectus, a very large job, to take on in its place.

Brief 6 - Good News cover ideas.
Looking at the design of the front of the good news paper, using the word marque 'it's all good' produced previously. Minimal ground made on this as of yet, but just worked with a few variations of cover image and text relationship.

Brief 6 - Good News Paper - logo development
Above are some initial ideas, working with a the word 'good' just to test a few of the sketched logos digitally. The top header, aims for something pretty close to what most tabloid news papers already go for, the second is a much more abstract solution, using the points of a compass to create a stroke, with the word good used to imply that there is good everywhere. Stuck to a limited colour palette using only colours similar to those already used in newspapers.

Brief 6 - Good News Paper initial ideas
Initial logo workings, looking as well at naming the paper. Struggled at first with the name as we didn't know whether to go for something much more obvious like the good news paper, or something further away. We looked at definitions of news as well as other words for good etc, but in the end settled, on 'it's all good'. We felt this worked well as it is more laid back than some of the much more formal names for papers an also covers the content of the paper really well, as there is only good news within the paper.
After settling on 'It's all good, I started sketching a few ideas for the logo and how it may be applied to the front of the paper. We stuck with a tabloid format however we may choose to alter this with further development, but I was looking to create something with a headline that will stand out on the cover, and from the other papers it competes with.
